Keeping the Holiday Spirit All Year
The holiday season is in full force. A time that can be both exhilarating and overwhelming. Over the next month, many of us will include additional activities to our daily "to do list" including volunteering, holiday shopping, gift wrapping, dinner preparation and holiday parties. Yet despite all these extra things to fit into our days, we state that we love this time of year! We share in the excitement of the season and get into the "Holiday Spirit".
"Getting into the Holiday Spirit" means to feel within oneself peace, joy and happiness. As each person allows their inner peace to emerge, others become a bit more at peace, feel more joy or know happiness. Suddenly the "Holiday Spirit" becomes a contagious presence and there is a shared purpose to "spread cheer". At the core, the holiday season is about helping each other find inner peace and greater fulfillment in our lives. But why reserve this only for once a year?
"The greatest hunger in life is not for food, money, success, status, security, sex, or even love from the opposite sex. Time and again people have achieved all of these things and wound up still feeling dissatisfied-indeed, often more dissatisfied than when they began. the deepest hunger in life is a secret that is revealed only when a person is willing to unlock a hidden part of the self. ..Finding the hidden dimensions in yourself is the only way to fulfill your deepest hunger"
- Deepok Chopra
(The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of your Life)
Walk through any bookstore and you will find thousand of "self-help" books for people seeking a personal breakthrough or a resource that can bring about personal fulfillment. Although these books can be great tools, we must not depend on external solutions. As we move into the new year, let us embrace an inward journey towards understanding ourselves better. Life is truly beautiful if we choose to believe in the limitless possibilities that surround us and embrace the hidden dimensions within.
Wishing you have wonderful holiday season!
Ciao for Now!

Wellness Tip:
Quote from Ekhart Tolle:
Your inner purpose is to awaken. It is as simple as that. You share that purpose with every other person on the planet-because it is the purpose of humanity. Your inner purpose is an essential part of the purpose of the whole, the universe and its emerging intelligence. Your outer purpose can change over time. It varies greatly from person to person. Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose. It is the basis for true success.
